Nov 20, 2014

BEDFORD, MA – November 20, 2014Progress (NASDAQ: PRGS) today announced that the company will be presenting and exhibiting at both the Gartner Application Architecture, Development and Integration (AADI) Summit and Gartner Business Process Management (BPM) Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 8-12, 2014.

Gartner AADI Summit

Session: Productivity vs. Control for Application Development. The Best Choice is Both.

  • When: Monday, December 8 at 1:45pm PT
  • Where: Octavius Ballroom, Caesars Palace
  • What: Understanding user preferences is critical to application development. When building enterprise apps, developers must consider the needs of the users, the business for the front-end and productivity, and management for the back-end. This session will look at how cloud app development approaches can break down the mobile and usability barriers, and will include an open discussion on considerations and best practices on how to architect the best-fit solution for the cloud.
  • Who: Mark Troester, Senior Director of Pacific Product Management and Solution Marketing, Progress

Gartner BPM Summit

Session: Achieve Faster, Business-Driven Change with Business Rules and BPM

  • When: Thursday, December 11 at 1:45pm PT
  • Where: Solution Showcase Theater, Caesars Palace
  • What: Constantly changing business environments have made it difficult for organizations to keep their processes up-to-date with requirements. Automating and streamlining complex decision-making business rules engines for BPM ensures processes are stable, yet agile. Learn how to create a critical decoupling of business processes and decision services to empower business users to change policies frequently without affecting the process, and reduce the turnaround time for change requests to accommodate unplanned changes.
  • Who: Ankur Goyal, Product Manager, Progress

Progress will be giving away 300 copies of the new book, Rapid Application Development for Dummies, written by author Paul Nashawaty, at the Gartner AADI event.
