Announced during ProgressNEXT 2019 conference, winners honored for innovation, excellence and impact in application development and digital experience
Categories for the Progress App Innovation Awards program include: Best App Modernization, Best Consumer App, Best Enterprise App, Best Web Experience, and The Social/ Environmental Impact Award. Nominees were selected from a competitive pool based on the innovation, business/social impact, scope, and sophistication of their applications. The winners of the 2019 Progress App Innovation Awards are:
- Best App Modernization: Capita
One
Capita One delivers solutions that transform the delivery of government services by bringing theUK's public sector and community services data together to deliver better social services. They used Progress® OpenEdge® platform to update and modernize their One Assets application, a unique cloud asset management solution for social housing organizations. The updated app now has a single responsive web-based interface with strong mobile support, providing real-time views to manage, monitor, and prepare housing assets.
- Best Consumer App: Muvr
Muvr is a cutting-edge app for orthopedic surgery patients built on Progress® Kinvey® app. Through wearable sensors the app collects motion data from joints, which is then analyzed for a current state analysis. Doctors access the data to identify at-risk patients, understand progress, and recommend interventions. This data is also used within the app along with patient medical data to provide exercises, education, reminders and more. This is a full recovery, all delivered in an app.
- Best Enterprise App:
Holder Construction , the ‘HELIX Project’Holder Construction , a multi-billion-dollar construction management and contracting services company, builds high-profile projects such as anNFL stadium and tech behemoth campuses. They moved their entire construction process from offline onto a Progress® Kinvey® app. The app provides access to all of the plans, documentation, drawings and more required to do their jobs. With high performance offline access, they can use the app even in environments of little to no connectivity. They have increased quality, efficiency and safety with this amazing new app.
- Best Web Experience:
Crystal Cruises Crystal Cruises , the world's most awarded luxury cruise line, used Progress® Sitefinity® web content management solution to relaunch and transform its website, www.crystalcruises.com. The new site, with in-depth information, dynamic content and gorgeous images, gives the luxury experience to customers from the very first visit researching a trip. With their new site, they’ve seen significant increases in the number of visits, leads, conversions, return trips planned, and more. And they’ve realized these benefits while dramatically improving the speed with which marketing can execute their campaigns, and reducing the workload for IT.
- The Social/ Environmental Impact Award:
World Health Organization The World Health Organization migrated 40+ websites on various older platforms to a new global site based on Sitefinity, engaging new audiences, broadening their user base, and increasing their position in search rankings. The website today processes up to 10 million requests per hour, helping them to deliver on their incredible global mission to promote global health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable.
