The new version of the DataXtend SID Model Browser is a free software tool for enterprise and data architects learning about the SID framework and how it can be used to address data integration issues that impact their business.
The TM Forum's Information Model, the SID, is a common information/data model for Operational and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS). The TM Forum SID model provides a common reference for enterprise information that service providers, software providers and integrators use to define management information. This shared model enables enterprises to create a bridge between business and IT, simplifying the integration of IT systems.
The DataXtend SID Model Browser is a lightweight version of the Progress DataXtend Semantic Integrator product that contains the TM Forum SID model pre-loaded. With the DataXtend SID Model Browser, users can effectively search the SID for free. It enables users to save time, develop a better understanding of relationships between classes in the SID, and identify differences between TM Forum SID Phases VII, VIII and IX.
