This appointment comes at a time when Progress is expanding its reach in the digital transformation market, announced in May, with new solutions, partnerships and industry insights.

I wanted to join Progress because of the potential before us to be market leaders and because I have the utmost confidence in the executive team to get us there," said Mitch Breen. "Not only do I want to be part of what is surely to be this company's next big vertical leap, but I want to lead the charge as we help our customers and partners through their own digital transformation and move forward."

With a focus on go-to-market strategic alignment, Progress sought a leader with a unique skillset to centralize and effectively manage the digital transformation growth engine. Breen has built successful go-to-market teams worldwide. In doing so he overtook entrenched competitors to attain and regain leadership positioning. Over the course of his career, Breen has championed acquisitions, established channels and alliances programs, rebranded and repositioned products, all the while driving cross-functional collaboration. In his new role, Breen will report directly to Jerry Rulli, Chief Operating Officer.
