David Benson to the newly-created position of Chief Information Officer
(CIO). Reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer

David’s appointment is part of
Progress Software's initiative to develop
and execute a global IT strategy, which is aligned with the company’s
growth strategy.
David brings over 25 years of business and IT experience, most recently
serving as global CIO for News Corporation, a multi-billion dollar
diversified media and entertainment company. In that position, David
drove significant change in News Corp’s culture, developing standards
and successfully building a collaborative network among disparate IT
groups. The changes David brought to News Corp delivered significant
savings and raised the profile of IT across the company.
